Student Financial Services Funding Finder

Please note that "Applicant Type" is the only required field in this funding finder. The more options you select when using this funding search engine, the fewer and more narrow results you will get. SFS recommends selecting no more than 2-3 criteria in each search for best results. For example, if you select "Prospective/Current Student" and also pick the funding type "Scholarships," you will get a list of scholarships for prospective/current students. Since you have narrowed the search to only scholarships, the search engine will exclude other types of funding like fellowships and grants. If you want the most results that may apply to you, select as few criteria as possible.

Additional Criteria

If selecting any of the "additional criteria," do not select any other criteria other than Applicant Type.

Selecting any of these criteria will limit your results to funding which fits only the specific criteria you have selected. For example, if you select "Funding for Women, " you will only get funding which applies specifically to women in your results, and exclude all other types of funding. If you want the most results that may apply to you, select as few criteria as possible.

Keyword Criteria

The keyword search does not work like a Google search -- it searches for keywords SFS has entered specific to each type of funding. In order to get the best results, use a one to two word term. The search terms that will return the best results are terms that you might use to describe yourself, such as gender, ethnicity, country of origin, or interest. You can also use the keyword search to find funding specifically by name. If using the keyword search, do not enter any other criteria other than Applicant Type.
